Hoeganaes' atomized iron powders are used in a variety of applications requiring high purity and consistent physical properties. The final products encompass a large number of diverse end products, which rely on a family of characteristics.
• Hoeganaes' iron powders are pure, with low oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, and silicon levels. The purity of Hoeganaes' iron powders render them well suited for metallurgical additions to aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys requiring iron.
• Hoeganaes' iron powders can be used as reducing agents to remove other metals such as chromium, copper, and silver, as well as organic contaminants from waste water streams.
• Hoeganaes' iron powders produce an exothermic reaction when allowed to react with water and air to provide a source of heat generation.
• Hoeganaes' iron powders are magnetic, which opens the door to many applications. From simple magnets, to induction heating of plastics, photocopy developers to seed separation, Hoeganaes' iron powders can be used in a wide variety of applications.
